Abnormal battery-capacity loss caused by a manufacturing defect may be covered following technical assessment.

The exclusions stated in this table apply only to the Hiboy commercial warranty. They do not exclude, restrict or reduce any mandatory rights available to consumers under the applicable EU or national legal guarantee of conformity.

Battery Coverage

The battery is covered for 24 months against defects in materials and workmanship.

Normal and gradual loss of battery capacity resulting from ordinary use and ageing is not considered a defect under the Hiboy commercial warranty. However, abnormal loss of capacity caused by a manufacturing defect may be covered following technical assessment.

Battery damage caused by misuse, improper storage, prolonged failure to charge, use of an incompatible charger, unauthorised modification, impact, dropping, extreme temperatures or liquid ingress beyond the product’s stated water-resistance rating is not covered by the commercial warranty.

These exclusions do not affect the consumer’s rights under the applicable legal guarantee of conformity.

Commercial Warranty Exclusions

The Hiboy commercial warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear;

Routine maintenance, adjustment or replacement of consumable components;

Cosmetic damage that does not affect the safe or normal operation of the product;

Damage caused by accidents, collisions, misuse, neglect or use contrary to the user manual;

Damage caused by overloading or use outside the product’s stated operating limits;

Damage caused by unauthorised modification, speed derestriction, disassembly or repair;

Damage caused by incompatible chargers, batteries, components or accessories;

Damage caused by improper storage, extreme temperatures or failure to maintain the battery appropriately;

Punctures, cuts, tyre blowouts or other damage caused by road hazards;

Liquid damage resulting from use outside the product’s stated water-resistance conditions;

Damage caused by racing, stunts, jumps, commercial rental or other use for which the product was not designed;

Products whose serial number has been removed, altered or made unreadable;

Products purchased from an unauthorised reseller where valid proof of purchase cannot be provided;

Loss, theft or deliberate damage.

These exclusions apply only to the Hiboy commercial warranty and do not exclude or restrict any mandatory rights the consumer may have under EU or national consumer law.

Who Is Covered?

The Hiboy commercial warranty applies to consumers who purchase a new Hiboy product directly from hiboy.eu or from an authorised Hiboy reseller.

A valid proof of purchase is required. The commercial warranty applies only to genuine Hiboy products and does not cover counterfeit products or products purchased from unauthorised commercial sources.

If a product was purchased from an authorised reseller, the consumer may also contact the seller directly to exercise rights under the applicable legal guarantee of conformity.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a claim under the Hiboy commercial warranty, contact:

Please provide:

Valid proof of purchase;

Product model and serial number;

A clear description of the problem;

Photographs or video showing the issue, where reasonably necessary;

The customer’s delivery address and contact details.

 

Valid claims under the Hiboy commercial warranty may be submitted within 24 months from the date the product was delivered.

Hiboy may request reasonable diagnostic information before arranging a remedy. A consumer’s inability to provide photographs or video will not automatically invalidate statutory rights where other reasonable evidence of non-conformity is available.

Do not return a product or component before receiving return instructions from Hiboy or the responsible seller.

Available Remedies

For a valid commercial warranty claim, Hiboy will determine an appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect. The remedy may include:

Technical assistance or troubleshooting;

Repair of the defective product;

Replacement of the defective component;

Replacement of the product with the same model or an equivalent product.

 

If the same model or component is no longer available, Hiboy may provide an equivalent replacement with comparable specifications and value.

For claims covered by the applicable legal guarantee of conformity, the responsible seller will provide the remedies required by law. These may include free repair or replacement and, where legally applicable, a price reduction or full refund.

Remedies provided under the legal guarantee of conformity will be provided free of charge, including necessary parts, labour and shipping, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the consumer.

Nothing in this commercial warranty limits the consumer’s right to seek a remedy directly from the seller under applicable consumer law.

Replacement Products and Parts

Replacement products or parts may be new or professionally refurbished, where permitted by applicable law, and will provide performance and reliability equivalent to the replaced product or part.

A repaired or replaced product remains covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for any additional period required by applicable national law.

The replacement of a component does not restart the entire commercial warranty period unless expressly required by applicable law.

Shipping Damage

Please inspect the package and product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If visible shipping damage is found, contact support@hiboy.com and provide photographs or video of:

The outer packaging;

The shipping label;

The damaged area;

The complete product.

 

Please report visible shipping damage within 7 days of delivery whenever possible so that Hiboy can investigate the issue promptly with the carrier.

Failure to report visible shipping damage within 7 days does not affect any mandatory rights the consumer may have under the applicable legal guarantee of conformity.

Repairs and Return Shipping

Do not attempt to open, modify or repair electrical components unless instructed to do so by Hiboy or an authorised service provider.

For a valid commercial warranty claim, Hiboy will provide the approved repair or replacement solution and instructions for returning the affected product or component where necessary.

For remedies provided under the legal guarantee of conformity, necessary parts, labour and shipping will be provided free of charge in accordance with applicable law.

If a returned product is found not to have a covered defect, or if the damage was caused by misuse or another excluded circumstance, Hiboy may refuse coverage under the commercial warranty. Any chargeable repair, inspection or shipping cost will be communicated to the customer in advance and will only be charged with the customer’s agreement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hiboy will not be liable under this commercial warranty for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses that do not result directly from a covered product defect.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory liability for death, personal injury, defective products, fraud, gross negligence or statutory consumer rights.

Statutory Consumer Rights

This Hiboy commercial warranty is provided in addition to the consumer’s statutory rights.

Consumers in the European Union benefit from a minimum two-year legal guarantee of conformity from the seller. National laws may provide additional or longer protection.

The legal guarantee may apply when a product:

Does not match its description;

Does not have the advertised qualities or functionality;

Is not fit for its normal purpose;

Is not supplied with the required accessories, instructions or updates;

Does not have the durability, safety or performance that a consumer may reasonably expect.

 

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the consumer may be entitled to free repair or replacement and, where applicable, a price reduction or refund.

The Hiboy commercial warranty does not replace, restrict, suspend or reduce these legal rights.
